Electronic Product Certification
Regulatory requirements built into engineering decisions from the start, to reduce rework, test lab failures and late changes to the product.
Certification starts at the design stage.
Certification is not just sending a device to the test lab. Architecture, power supply, PCB, interfaces, radio, insulation, materials and firmware can all determine the test results.
For companies bringing an electronic product to the Brazilian market, these are the main regulatory bodies involved. ECK has also supported clients preparing equipment for UL certification.
Anatel
Engineering for products with radio frequency and telecommunications interfaces, taking the applicable requirements into account from the start of development.
Inmetro and EMC/EMI
Technical support to adapt the design for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, immunity and emissions.
ANVISA and medical devices
Development and technical review considering the requirements for medical equipment, risk management, usability and software where applicable.
Certification highlights
Real cases where engineering was applied to prepare products, fix non-conformities and support approval in testing (case studies currently in Portuguese).
Less fixing at the end, more engineering at the start.
ECK can work on new development, on reviewing an existing product or on diagnosing non-conformities found during testing. The focus is on translating regulatory requirements into concrete hardware, firmware and construction decisions.
Does your product need certification?
We can review the design before the problem reaches the test lab.
